Dazed, confused and very hungry at the arrivals hall following an overnight flight.  You probably have experienced this as well, however this time it felt very different.images-1

Our local guide, Ahmed, barely had the time to learn our names (he was focused on recognizing our luggage).  Following him outside, the 40 degree (104 Fahrenheit) heat completely sapped remaining stores of energy as the seven of us climbed into the van.

I ♥ Airline Food!

Let me clarify that… I love the food in the front cabin. The assorted random crap in an $8.95 snack box tossed to you from cart in the back is pathetic.

I can’t believe I am the only one sitting on a transcontinental domestic flight wondering if this segment qualifies as an ice cream sundae flight. I sometimes I ask the flight attendant before we take off, taking advantage of that eye-to-eye opportunity when they take my coat, but most of the time I restrain myself to wait and see if I am surprised. Do I dare sneak a peek at the pre-flight galley prep to see if they are storing bowls?
